How to be you, Mr. Hawlucha?
I've always been a fan of Hawlucha ever since watching the episode "The Forest Champion":D so I made a tribute to show it. Along with Krookodile, I'd say he's my hero~

Digital Painting isn't my suit but I'm practicing as hard as I can. Until then, comments are appreciated :)

About the Material

There are mainly two kinds of Air Dry Clay, Paper Clay and Cold Porcelain. The latter is much more expensive but is recommended for detailed projects. Both should harden at least after 24 hours but it depends also on the size of the artwork :D

Paper Clay vs. Cold Porcelain

Texture and Weight
Paper Clay is a lot more fluffy and light to hold while Cold Porcelain, smooth and weighs a lot once the clay hardens.

Tearing out the Clay
Paper Clay tears out similarly to cotton candy while Cold Porcelain behaves the same way as ordinary polymer clay.

Sticking clay pieces together
Paper Clay can be assembled by dipping the clay itself on water while acrylic (a drop) for Cold Porcelain. Be sure to firmly press pieces into one another.

Drying the Clay

Let the piece dry in a nonporous (smooth) area. Examples are wood, glass, bond paper, etc. If you want the clay to dry faster use a blow dryer but do not overuse because excessive heat can cause cracking. Throw out clay that has hardened due to not sealing it properly.

Preserving the Clay

Tape back the packaging used for the clay and seal the whole thing into a zip lock plastic bag.

Hope this helps to those who are interested in working on air dry clay~
