About the Material
There are mainly two kinds of Air Dry Clay, Paper Clay and Cold Porcelain. The latter is much more expensive but is recommended for detailed projects. Both should harden at least after 24 hours but it depends also on the size of the artwork :D
Paper Clay vs. Cold Porcelain
Texture and Weight Paper Clay is a lot more fluffy and light to hold while Cold Porcelain, smooth and weighs a lot once the clay hardens.
Tearing out the ClayPaper Clay tears out similarly to cotton candy while Cold Porcelain behaves the same way as ordinary polymer clay.
